If you're like me, you can't really afford to buy Copic markers. And let's face it, there aren't a lot of alcohol-based markers out there with that great brush tip. Most come with a small tip and a chisel tip which just isn't going to get the job done.
Altenew markers are super affordable, come in a wide variety of colors and have that fantastic brush tip everyone's looking for. You can get small packs, larger packs, whatever you need to fit your budget. You don't need to be a great colorist in order to get these, use them and make your cards/scrapbook pages pop with color.
I ordered the 36 pc set for my card making. They are wonderful. Very bright colors and blend beautifully. I will be completing my set in the future. I highly recommend these markers.
I have been mulling over purchasing Copics for quite a while but they are so expensive. Just recently, I decided that it was time to buy alcohol markers of some type so I can get the most of my stamps. Since my daughter has also been wanting them, I decided it would be worth it so we could both use them. I researched and watched comparisons and reviews and decided on the Altenew Alcohol Markers. We started with Sets A, B and C and they arrived the other day. They are impressive! The colors blend SO well and they are vibrant. We are excited to use them more and have purchased sets D and E. A huge selling point for us is that, like Copics, you can refill them and change the nibs. What value!
I spent a lot of time deciding on what brand of alcohol markers i wanted to invest in. I bought several Copics, a set of 48prismacolor, and 24 Spectrum Noir. And while I liked Copics, O just couldn’t bring myself to the price point. So that left the other 3 brands. Each worked well, but I had to eliminate the Prismacolor simply because I can’t get the dang things open without using my teeth! And then there were two. Spectrum Noir and Artist Makers. Honestly I like both, but decided to go with Artist Makers because I love the way they are arranged in sets of four markers that are designed to work well together. It takes the guess work out for me. And with the price point, I can still pick up a box of the spectrum Noir every now and then and still come in at half the cost of Copics.Anyone choosing these markers will find they blend easy and won’t be disappointed
I wanted to try alcohol markers but didn't want to invest in Copics right off the bat. I had heard that the Artist Markers were pretty comparable to them, so I bought Sets A, B and C. They blend so well and there are many shades in each color family! I really enjoy coloring with them- Set E is now on my wishlist!
