I find the scoring tool rips the paper, and if you use it to reinforce the fold, it leaves black marks on the paper (which can be erased, but who wants to spend that time?). The board is ok if I use a different tool.

I bought this to replace a smaller scoreboard that I had been using. I didnโt like the scoring tool it came with. I love the scoring tool that comes with Altenewโs scoreboard.

The Crafter's Essential Scoring Board is the perfect size and really simple to use. I really like how the score lines have ridges that are deep enough so that the scoring tool doesn't slip and mess up my project. My old score tool has shallow ridges and a not-so-great scoring tool. With that said, I really appreciate the high quality and thoughtful design of this board and scoring tool -- and I love that there's a little drawer to store the tool. The design is beautiful and. so typical of Altenew.
