No matter what I do it rips through in multiple spots. I've tried many tricks, but nothing works.

I use these 3D folders on a textured ivory paper and then mount and use as plain note cards. With just a hint of ink blending they are stunning.
The 3D succulent embossing folder creates Beautiful impression but no matter what I do it rips my paper. I've adjusted the shims used but then it doesn't emboss enough.
