Currently my favorite product is the multi-plate, Layered Cityscape Cover Dies A & B. As a relatively new paper crafter I found the new-to-me product type intriguing. I set a challenge for myself whenever I buy a new product, I have to be able to use it in at least three different ways. That gets the creative sparks flying, and isn't that what paper-art is about? Individually the cover dies are great, but combined the result creates a "wow!" visual. The Cityscape cover dies set my mind buzzing when I saw them; I envisioned it for Christmas with a miniature sleigh gliding across the sky or a star on the building spire. For New Year's I could imagine a "crystal ball" on the spire with a 2019 ribbon. For a birthday "bright lights, big city" came to mind. I knew immediately that these dies were going to be mine. Crafters are a frugal group and I used the inside of a business envelope to create a brick look. Then I had a moment of fear about the quality of the paper and how the die would perform. Fear not, even that thin paper came out of the die well. It passed my performance test. I love that the dies can be used individually or in combination and each result is a great spotlight for a crafter's creativity. These dies, like the other Altenew products I’ve purchased, are of high quality and perform well. The only limit is that of your imagination. Share you creativity here and post a photo of your project. Thanks for inspiring us all!
